PFTC's Chief Flight Instructor, Donovan Hoyt

Checking tire pressure is an imperative step to the pre-flight inspection. Ask our front desk or flight instructors for a list of aircraft and their required tire pressures. Also let us know if you forgot your tire pressure gauge at home!

A Successful Open House

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open House! From new students who will be learning to fly in the fall semester to the line service guys who ate our food, we all made it a great success.

We would like to give a special thanks to Corporate Air and CCAC! They went the extra mile in assisting us with the details of the Open House to bring all of our prospective students together. In just a few weeks, we will be welcoming our fall semester of 2008 CCAC students!

PFTC Building in PittsburghTraining Pilots for Over 20 Years

PFTC has been training pilots for over twenty years.

As a matter of a fact, PFTC is the oldest flight school in the Pittsburgh area, operating since 1980.

Many of our pilots are flying for the airlines, flying corporate jets, instructing other pilots or just flying for the fun and excitement of flying.

 Welcome CCAC Flight Students!

The staff of Pittsburgh Flight Training Center would like to extend a warm "Thanks" to all of our CCAC Flight Students. We are looking forward to another great, new class in the fall, and we are proud to provide them with the highest quality flight training in the industry.

One of the best kept secrets in aviation here in Pennsylvania is the Aviation Program at the Community College of Allegheny County. Whether you are interested in obtaining your Private Pilot License or dream of becoming a professional aviator, CCAC and Pittsburgh Flight Training Center can make your dreams of flying come true.

This Part 141 Flight Program also offers a subsidy from the State of Pennsylvania that can help to pay for up to 30% of your flight instruction cost! Call today to get more information, or visit the CCAC website at www.ccac.edu. CCAC...More Than You Know!!

New Flight Training Web Site from AOPA

There's a new sister to AOPA.org. AOPA has completely redesigned its flight training web site to make it more user friendly, easier to navigate, and more logical and relevant to both the student pilot and the certificated flight instructor (CFI). And for current pilots, there is no better place on the Internet to send someone you know who is interested in learning to fly or who has started their flight training. (Read more...)
