Pittsburgh's Premiere Flight School can introduce you to the freedom and excitement of aviation!

PFTC has been training pilots for over twenty years.  As a matter of a fact, PFTC is the oldest flight school in the Pittsburgh area, operating since 1980.  Many of our pilots are flying for the airlines, flying corporate jets, instructing other pilots or just flying for the fun and excitement of flying.

We have an exclusive contract with Allegheny County Community College (CCAC) and hold all of the ground school classes at our facility at the Allegheny County Airport, located 10 miles southwest of downtown Pittsburgh.  We have a fleet of over twenty-five aircraft and can train you from your private pilot certificate all the way through your instrument, commercial, multiengine, and CFI ratings.

The only requirements are that you can read, write, and speak English, be at least sixteen years old, and can pass a very basic physical.  The time that it takes you to go from being a student to making money as a pilot depends on your self-motivation and commitment to complete the course.  It is very possible for a motivated individual to be working as a flight instructor within a year’s time.

Whether you decide to enroll in Community College or go directly through our school you will be instructed, one on one, by one of our Certified Flight Instructors at our modern facility located at Allegheny County Airport.
